Throw these my way!

Ok now that the condo is painted. I need some throw pillows!

I’ve been scouting for the right colours and have a few potentials. Not sure which way I want to go though. Here are a few options from Etsy. This pillow is totally Toronto but also gives me the travel bug!

This pillow is great but I am not sure if the colour is quite right.

Or perhaps something a littler nerdier?

Prepping my pots

Spring is finally here in full swing.

The temperatures are still a bit cool but it was enough to pull out all of my pots for this year’s balcony garden.

And let this be known that this is the last photo I will ever take of that awful old barbecue. It has now moved on to new pastures. Well the dump anyway.

After all the talk of vertical gardens and vegetables,  I am going to do things a bit more simply this year. All flowers, a few herbs and one pepper plant.

Condo gardening is moving on up

Well I wasn’t going to do much balcony gardening this year but after Canada Blooms I found something to re-inspire my green balcony thumb.

This vertical garden is a cost-effective space saver by the looks of it. It gets shipped to you and with a little assembly, some soil and some plants you are on your way!

I think this is a good alternative to the many pots and containers that usually fill our balcony. They have a chicken coop too but that may be a bit over the top…

My accent pillows are accented with fur

I’ve been meaning to shop for new throw pillows for the living room but my current ones are generally occupied.

I guess there doesn’t make a lot of sense to buy anything too expensive, hard to care for or anything I won’t mind getting furry.

Balcony desk is the best!

Finally! A desk on which I can work AND garden. The wine holder ain’t a bad idea either.

Make a home for your house plants: an infographic

I have always lived in homes full of plants and am always amazed to see a house with nothing green to be seen.

I found this infographic to inspire those of you who have no plants to think about it. Even a silk plant might make a difference and your cats won’t likely eat a fake plant.
